About the Founder & CEO
Lailla Mutajogera
Lailla Mutajogera is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MUTA Investment Firm. She is an African entrepreneur and investment executive working at the intersection of capital, public sector priorities, and project execution. Lailla leads MUTA’s mandate to connect investors to structured investment opportunities while supporting funding, project delivery, and long-term asset oversight across African markets. Under her leadership, MUTA works with governments and public institutions under structured mandates supporting trading, investment promotion, and investor engagement. The firm also partners with private sector sponsors and institutional capital to structure and execute projects aligned with national development objectives and commercial viability. Lailla brings deep on the ground market insight across East and West Africa, with experience spanning real estate, infrastructure, mining, industrial development, tourism and hospitality, and agriculture and agribusiness. Her approach emphasizes disciplined structuring, execution accountability, and long term value creation for investors, governments, and local stakeholders. She founded MUTA to address a persistent gap in African markets: the disconnect between capital, investment ready projects, and trusted execution capacity. Today, she continues to guide the firm.
